Application Engineer – Worksite Jobs In Downtown Manhattan, NYC

One of the top Law Firms in the World (AM Law top 20) has an immediate need for a full time permanent Application Engineer.  The firm has a great reputation for great work life balance, excellent benefits, generous vacation policies, and bonus potential.  You will be reporting to the Director of IT for the organization & will have a lot more autonomy than at most other law firms while also not having to deal with a ton of red tape.  You would be part of a team of 3 Application Support Engineers & while your area of ownership would be Worksite / iManage, you would also be working with your team on several other applications as well. The Enterprise Applications Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and operating reliable, secure and well-performing enterprise applications for the firm.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for designing and deploying highly available and robust applications to improve end user experience and functionality

2. Responsible for ensuring that applications fit into the operational framework. This will include leveraging existing monitoring tools to provide end-to-end operational monitoring as well as working with the infrastructure team to determine appropriate backup, storage, cpu, and memory requirements.

3. Responsible for working with Information Systems leadership to determine appropriate KPIs and monitoring targets and implementing solutions to regularly report on defined metrics.

4. Responsible for working with vendors as appropriate to ensure successful upgrades and deployments of enterprise applications.

Position Specific Skills and Requirements 

1. Experience with the some of the following enterprise applications: iManage WorkSite (including Communications Server, IUS, IDOL and Archive Manager); Elite Enterprise; Aderant Compulaw Vision; Microsoft Dynamics CRM; viDesktop (including viEval, viLMS and viRecruit); Legalkey Records and Conflicts; and HighQ Collaborate.
2. Solid understanding of Microsoft platforms including SQL, IIS and Windows server.
3. SQL querying and ability to work with data services team to understand the layout of enterprise application SQL databases
